This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) outlines the standards expected when using the ImmerseMe platform (“Platform”).

This Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and AI Terms of Use.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including:

  • Students

  • Teachers and educators

  • Institutions and organisations

  • Individual users

Institutions are responsible for ensuring their users comply with this Policy.

ImmerseMe is a global learning community.

You must:

  • Use appropriate, inclusive, and respectful language

  • Not engage in bullying, harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or abusive behaviour

ImmerseMe is designed for educational use.

You must:

  • Use the Platform for language learning purposes only

  • Follow instructions from your teacher, school, or organisation

  • Not misuse or exploit the Platform

5. Protect Privacy and Safety

You must:

  • Not share personal information (e.g. full name, address, phone number, passwords)

  • Keep your login credentials secure

  • Not access or use another person’s account

If you experience or observe unsafe or inappropriate behaviour:

ImmerseMe includes AI-powered tools to support learning.

You must not:

  • Use AI features to generate harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content

  • Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or misuse AI systems

  • Input sensitive personal information unnecessarily

AI tools are designed to support learning — not replace appropriate behaviour or judgement.

All AI use must comply with our AI Terms of Use.

You must not:

  • Upload or share illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content

  • Engage in harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory conduct

  • Attempt to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the Platform

  • Use automation, scraping, bots, or hacking techniques

  • Reverse engineer, probe, or test system vulnerabilities

  • Impersonate another person or organisation

  • Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

8. Content Responsibility

You are responsible for any content you create or submit on the Platform.

We may:

  • Review or monitor content where necessary for safety and security

  • Remove content that violates this Policy

  • Restrict or suspend access where appropriate

9. Institutional Use

For school or organisational use:

  • Institutions and educators are responsible for supervising learners

  • Institutions must ensure appropriate consent and lawful use

  • Students must comply with both this Policy and their institution’s policies

To maintain a safe environment, ImmerseMe may:

  • Monitor usage and interactions where necessary to maintain platform safety, security, and integrity

  • Use automated systems (including AI moderation tools)

  • Investigate suspected misuse or violations
